Similarity and CongruenceMain Notes
The full notes: one idea per page, a worked example beside every rule.
A complete 17-page IGCSE guide to similarity and congruence. It covers congruent shapes and the four congruence conditions for triangles (SSS, SAS, ASA and RHS), with step-by-step congruence proofs. It then explains similar shapes and the conditions for similar triangles. Worked examples include parallel lines inside a triangle, the right-angled triangle with a perpendicular, and shadow problems. The final section teaches the link between length, area and volume scale factors, including working backwards and finding mass. Every method comes with clear diagrams and fully worked examples. It ends with a summary, a keyword guide and exam tips.
